People Can Only Pretend For So Long is a PSA Poster addressing the global issue of suicide prevention. The stigma surrounding mental health issues have been more socially acceptable and more recently brought up in conversation which is why I felt the need to include personal understanding and experience in my work. The poster includes a faceless woman holding a mask of a smiling woman covering her true unhappy, emotionless face. The text overlaid on the emotionless woman explores the emotions and feelings a person with mental health issues go through. The placement of the words are intentional to how and where those feelings are felt. Suicide takes the life of one person every eleven minutes and one hundred twenty-five everyday. We need to bring awareness to this issue and put an end to it now.
